Renowned Ghanaian rapper and singer Kwame Yogot has reflected on the important role entertainers play in society.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, May 8, Kwame Yogot described how entertainers go to great lengths to ensure their fans are happy, often at the expense of time with their own families.

According to the award-winning singer, entertainers fulfill a divine calling by uplifting others through their art.

"We go through a lot to make sure you're happy...Some of us don't even spend much time with our kids, wives or girlfriends, always busy to make you smile," Yogot wrote.

He continued, "entertainers are naturally healers from God", urging consumers to "at least respect us for always making you smile."

The artist's comments come as musicians, comedians, and other performers have face increasing demands on their time due to heavy touring schedules and a never-ending content creation cycle fueled by social media.

Meanwhile, Yogot is currently preparing the release of his new single "I'm Feeling Okay Remix" featuring fellow Ghanaian star King Paluta.

The track is set to drop on May 22. In his Facebook post, Yogot expressed confidence that his dedicated fanbase "can't wait to enjoy it."
